TraderSync claims 700+ broker integrations. TerraTrade matches every fill to the cent and includes backtesting and replay. A price-by-price, honest comparison.

TraderSync vs TerraTrade comparison cover

TraderSync is one of the best-known auto-sync trading journals, and if you trade US equities or options it has probably been on your shortlist for years. TerraTrade is the newer platform that treats the journal as the foundation of a larger hub — backtesting, replay, and AI all run on the same trade data. The monthly prices are nearly identical, so the comparison comes down to what each dollar actually buys.

Pricing sits on the same shelf#

Both platforms run three paid tiers and neither has a free plan. As of August 2026, TraderSync charges $29.95, $49.95, and $79.95 a month; TerraTrade charges $29, $49, and $89, dropping to $26/$44/$80 on yearly billing. TraderSync's annual totals are reported inconsistently across reviews, so check their checkout for the real number.

Two structural differences matter more than the few dollars. First, TraderSync offers a 7-day trial with no card required — a genuine point in its favor, and TerraTrade has no trial at all. Second, the exit terms differ: reviews report TraderSync's sales are final, while TerraTrade is cancel-anytime with free data export and a read-only account afterward. Where the tiers put features differs too: TraderSync's reviews place Cypher Coach, custom dashboards, portfolio analytics, and full replay on the $79.95 Elite tier, while TerraTrade puts backtesting and its full report library on every plan and reserves Pro for replay and 1-second data, Ultra for agents and the API.

700 brokers versus one matching engine#

On breadth, TraderSync wins and it isn't close: 700+ supported brokers (some of its pages say 900+), including prop firms and MetaTrader 4/5. TerraTrade connects 9 brokers — 7 with auto-sync — plus CSV for everything else. If your broker is obscure, TraderSync more likely syncs it directly.

TerraTrade's bet is depth over breadth. Every import — stocks, options, futures, crypto, forex — flows through one FIFO matching engine that handles longs, shorts, partial fills, and reversals, with P&L exact to the cent and options sell-to-open treated as first-class. Every trade gets MAE/MFE computed automatically from full-resolution market data, so "how much heat did I take" is a column, not a guess. Imports are idempotent — re-running one can never duplicate a trade — and lookback reaches up to 15 years. The reviews we used don't document how TraderSync matches fills, so we won't claim a comparison there; we'll just say the engine is the part of a journal you should interrogate hardest.

AI: a metered chat versus grounded computation#

TraderSync's Cypher assistant answers questions over your trade history, which is the right idea. The catch is the meter: roughly 5 messages a day on Pro, 15 on Premium, 60 on Elite, and the automatic-insight Cypher Coach only exists on Elite.

TerraAI is on every TerraTrade plan with a monthly credit pool — 1,000, 4,000, or 10,000 depending on tier — rather than a daily cap. More importantly, every answer is computed from live queries against your journal and rendered as real charts and tables inline; it never invents a number, and with 35 tools it can also edit the journal behind confirmation gates. Deep AI models start at Pro, and Ultra adds always-on Agents with a visual canvas builder.

Replay and backtesting: included versus Elite#

TraderSync's market replay is real and, on Elite, reportedly detailed — 250ms precision with Level II and time & sales. Which tier it starts on is genuinely unclear: one 2026 review says Premium, another says Elite.

TerraTrade ships backtesting on every plan: 14,000+ instruments of real history, prop-firm risk rules, and a fill engine built to refuse flattery — gap-through stops fill at the open against you, stops are assumed to hit before targets, and market orders fill at the next bar's open. Every simulated close becomes a real journal trade, permanently walled off from live stats. Trade Replay, from Pro up, replays any finished trade candle-by-candle with your fills on the tape — including 27 behavioral scenario playlists ranked by what each habit costs you in dollars.

The part you look at every day#

Reviewers describe TraderSync's interface as dense and dated. That's their word, not ours. TerraTrade's journal ships 57 drag-and-drop dashboard widgets, 35 reports including cross-analysis heatmaps, ~20 breakdown dimensions, a notebook with voice notes and automatic transcription, and a universal ⌘K search. A large accumulated feature set is an asset in a report library and a liability in a layout.

TraderSync at a glance

FAQ#

Can I move my TraderSync history into TerraTrade?

Yes — export your trades to CSV and import them. TerraTrade's imports are idempotent, so re-running a file can never create duplicates, and lookback supports up to 15 years of history. Your matched trades get MAE/MFE computed automatically on the way in.

Which TerraTrade plan lines up with TraderSync Elite?

Pro ($49/mo) covers the comparable ground: Trade Replay, 1-second tick data, BigQuery, and Deep AI models. Backtesting and the full 35-report library are on every plan, including Essential. Ultra ($89/mo) adds AI Agents, deliberate-practice Drills, and the Public API — things TraderSync doesn't offer at any tier, per the 2026 reviews.

Does either platform have a free plan?

No. TraderSync discontinued its free version and now offers a 7-day trial; TerraTrade has no trial but is cancel-anytime with free data export. If you want to try TerraTrade's math before paying, the calculators are free and don't need an account.
