How to connect cTrader to TerraTrade
Authorize cTrader from TerraTrade, choose live or demo accounts, and automatically sync forex fills into a separate journal for each account.
By TerraTrade Team

The cTrader integration uses cTrader's own authorization screen. TerraTrade opens it, you approve read access, and then you decide which forex accounts to connect. No cTrader email or password is entered into TerraTrade.
| Integration detail | cTrader in TerraTrade |
|---|---|
| Import method | Auto-sync |
| Asset class | Forex |
| Authorization | cTrader-hosted consent window |
| Account handling | Each selected account stays separate |
| Default selection | Live accounts selected; demo accounts optional |
How to connect cTrader#
- Open the TerraTrade Import Center and choose Add broker.
- Select cTrader, keep Auto-sync selected, and continue to the authorization step.
- Choose Authorize with cTrader. TerraTrade opens a single-use cTrader consent window; in the mobile app, the same step opens the system authorization screen.
- Sign in directly with cTrader and grant TerraTrade read access to your accounts. The authorization window closes when approval finishes.
- On Which accounts should we import?, review the account name or login, balance, currency, and the Demo marker.
- Select at least one account and choose Connect account or Connect accounts. Live accounts start selected; demo accounts do not.
- Choose Import now for an immediate history backfill, or close the flow and let auto-sync start on schedule.
What TerraTrade receives#
cTrader returns a scoped token after you approve access. TerraTrade uses it to read account details and fills for journaling. The connection is not given permission to place a trade, and TerraTrade never receives the password you use on cTrader's sign-in screen.
Once the first import finishes, new fills arrive through the normal auto-sync schedule. If authorization expires later, the Import Center marks the account for reconnection and sends you back through the same cTrader consent flow.
Why are my demo accounts not selected automatically?
Demo trades can distort live performance metrics if they land in the same review set. TerraTrade therefore preselects live accounts and leaves each demo account as an explicit choice.
Can one cTrader login connect several accounts?
Yes. A single authorization can return multiple live and demo accounts. Pick any combination; TerraTrade creates one separate broker account for every selection.
What if I close the cTrader window before approving?
The connection is not created. Return to the authorization step and try again. If the browser blocked the window, allow popups for TerraTrade first.
