How to connect OANDA to TerraTrade
Connect OANDA to TerraTrade with a personal access token, choose the correct live or practice environment, and select the forex accounts to sync.
By TerraTrade Team

OANDA connects to TerraTrade with a personal access token. It is a forex auto-sync integration, and the setup has one extra choice that matters: whether the token belongs to Live (fxTrade) or Practice (fxTrade Practice). After TerraTrade verifies the token, you choose which OANDA accounts to add.
| Integration detail | OANDA |
|---|---|
| Import method | Auto-sync |
| Asset class | Forex |
| Credential field | API token |
| Environment | Live (fxTrade) or Practice (fxTrade Practice) |
| OANDA settings | Personal access token page |
Generate the correct token#
Open OANDA's personal access token page and generate a token. Keep track of the environment it belongs to. Live and practice are separate choices in TerraTrade, and a practice token will not show a live account.
Connect OANDA step by step#
- Open the TerraTrade Import Center.
- Choose OANDA, then select Continue.
- Keep Auto-sync selected and select Continue again.
- Under Environment, choose Live — fxTrade or Practice — fxTrade Practice.
- Paste the personal access token into the API token field.
- Select Continue. TerraTrade uses the token and environment to list the accounts it authorizes.
- On Which accounts should we import?, keep the accounts you want selected and clear any you do not want to add.
- Select Connect accounts.
All accounts returned by the token are initially selected. You can use Clear all, Select all, or toggle accounts individually. TerraTrade shows the account alias or ID, account currency, and a practice label where relevant to help you choose.
Each selected OANDA account becomes its own TerraTrade account with its own balance, trades, and pause switch. Live and practice books are not combined. On the completion screen, start an import immediately or choose Done; auto-sync continues on a schedule afterward.
Permission scope#
The integration reads OANDA transaction history and never places orders. The Import Center asks only for the personal access token; it does not ask for your OANDA password.
Why does TerraTrade show no OANDA accounts?
Check the environment first. A practice token cannot see a live account, and a live selection will not discover accounts authorized only in practice.
What happens if one token covers several accounts?
TerraTrade lists them for selection. Every selected OANDA account is created separately rather than pooling their balances and histories together.
Can TerraTrade place orders in my OANDA account?
No. This connection reads transaction history for import and does not place orders.
